Sementara budakku fulan, statusnya merdeka.
Wallahu a’lam bishshowwab.

Meeting someone who is dead is a true dream if he really believes that it is that person, there is no doubt in his dream, not "it seems like him".
So that whatever the condition of the person is in accordance with his current situation buried. If he looks good then the condition is good now, and vice versa.
Interpretation of the word of Allah in Surah Az-Zumar verse 42. Allah says,
"Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that do not die [He takes] during their sleep. Then He keeps those for which He has decreed death and releases the others for a specified term. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought. "(Surah Az-Zumar: 42)
Narrated from Said bin Jubair, from Ibn Abbas radhiyallahu ‘anhuma, he explained the interpretation of the verse,
"Truly the souls of the living and the spirits of the dead meet in dreams. They know each other according to what Allah wants. When each wants to return to his body, Allah holds the souls of the dead by His side, and Allah releases the spirits of the living to their bodies. "(Tafsir At-Tabari 21/298, Al-Qurthubi 15/260, An -Nasafi 4/56, Zadul Masir Ibnul Jauzi 4/20, and several other interpretations).

The meeting of Thabit bin Qois radhiyallahu unya anhu with someone in a dream.
This incident occurred during the battle of Yamamah, attacking the false prophet Musailamah Al-Kadzab in the time of Abu Bakr. In that battle, Thabit was among the best friends who died. At that time, Thabit wore armor which was quite valuable.
Until finally someone passed and found the body of Thabit. This person took Thabit's armor and brought it home. After this event, there was a believer dreaming, he was visited by Tsabin bin Qois. Thabit advised the believer in the dream:
"I will testify to you, and don't say, 'This is only a chaotic dream' then you don't care about it. When I died, someone passed my body and took my armor. Stay in the very corner there. In his tent there was a horse which he used to help with his activities. He placed the container on top of my armor, and above it was a saddle. Go to Khalid bin Walid, ask him to assign people to take my armor. And if you meet the Khalifah Rasulullah Sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam (ie Abu Bakr), say that I have so many debt obligations and so many bad debts. While my slave is full, his status is independent. Don't say once again, 'This is only a chaotic dream' and then you don't care about it. "
After waking up, this person also met Khalid bin Walid radhiyallahu ‘anhu and told the story of his dream of meeting Thabit. The commander, Khalid bin Walid sent several men to take the armor, he looked at the very end of the tent, apparently there was a horse prepared. They saw the contents of the camp, apparently there was no one. And they entered, and immediately shifted the saddle. It turns out that underneath there is a container. Then they lifted the container, found the armor. And they brought the armor to face Khalid bin Walid.
After reaching Medina, the man delivered his dream to the Caliph Abu Bakr As-Siddiq Radhiyallahu ‘anhu, and he allowed to carry out the will of Thabit. The companions said, "We never knew there was anyone whose will was carried out, even though it was only delivered after his person died, besides the will of Thabit bin Qais. (Narrated by Al-Baihaqi in Dalail An-Nubuwah 2638 and Al-Bushiri in Al-Ittihaf 3010)
Such cases also occur in some scholars. Many of their stories are mentioned by Ibn al-Qoyim in his book Ar-Ruh (pp. 30-48). One of them is the story of the best friend Thabit bin Qois above.
This all shows that the spirit of a living person can meet with the spirit of a person who has died in a dream. And someone who has died is only two circumstances: husnul khotimah (good condition) and su'ul khotimah (bad condition).
Allahu a'laamu bishshowwab.
